The Call of Duty community is, once again, reignited with excitement as Treyarch has dropped the first cinematic trailer for Black Ops 6: Zombies. This highly-anticipated reveal gives fans a glimpse into the dark and eerie world that awaits them in the iconic game mode.
The trailer showcases the new Zombies map, Terminus Island, where a group of survivors find themselves trapped and ready to face off against hordes of undead.
Terminus Island: A New Zombies Experience
The cinematic trailer introduces players to Terminus Island, which will be the setting for one of Black Ops 6‘s new Zombies maps. The trailer features a group of characters who have been imprisoned on the island for five years, including:

As the trailer unfolds, the characters are rescued by Dr. William Peck and a smuggler named Maya Aguinaldo. However, their escape is quickly thwarted by (what is subtly hinted to be) a zombie outbreak on the island—forcing them to fight for survival.
The Terminus Island map promises to deliver the classic Zombies experience that fans have come to love, with intense gameplay, challenging enemies, and a mysterious storyline to uncover.
Black Ops 6 Zombies: What We Know So Far
While the trailer doesn’t explicitly “advertise” the return of round-based gameplay, it has previously been confirmed that Black Ops 6 will bring back this fan-favorite feature. The round-based format, in which players face increasingly difficult waves of zombies, has been a staple of the mode since its inception. However, much to the dismay of longtime fans, it was missing in recent entries.

It is worth noting that Treyarch has also hinted at the existence of another Zombies map set in the West Virginian town of Liberty Falls. Details on this map are scarce, but it is expected to feature a different cast of characters and its own unique storyline.
With the cinematic trailer now released, fans eagerly await the full reveal of Black Ops 6: Zombies, scheduled for August 8 at 8 am PT. This event is expected to provide more in-depth information on the gameplay, maps, weapons, and other features that will be included in the mode.
As the October 25 release date for Black Ops 6 approaches, the hype surrounding the game continues to grow. The return of round-based Zombies, coupled with the promise of new maps and experiences, definitely has fans excited to take on the undead hordes once more!
