It’s worth noting that the last Black Ops game, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, was actually the fifth entry in Treyarch’s Black Ops series, released in 2020. But whether the new game incorporates a numerical designation or not, it marks a significant milestone as the first Call of Duty title with a four-year development cycle.
Furthermore, credible insiders have suggested that it will feature a full-fledged Open World campaign, built entirely from scratch without recycling assets from previous titles. Rumors also hint at the return of community-beloved round-based Zombies maps, with potentially four such maps at launch.
With both anticipation and expectations reaching unprecedented levels, many wonder if this innovative approach finally signals a redemption arc for Activision. What are your thoughts on this reportedly groundbreaking Call of Duty title? Share your opinions in the comments below!
