Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta Dates Officially Announced!
The wait is almost over for Call of Duty fans eagerly anticipating the release of Black Ops 6. Xbox has just announced the official dates for the game’s multiplayer beta, giving players a chance to experience the game’s groundbreaking features firsthand.
The beta is set to take place across two weekends, with early access available to those who have pre-ordered the game or are Game Pass subscribers. The first weekend kicks off on August 30, just two days after the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Next event.
What to Expect from the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Beta
During the beta, players will have the opportunity to test out the game’s revolutionary Omnimovement system, which promises to redefine the way players navigate the battlefield. The beta will also feature a variety of brand-new maps built by Treyarch, the highly-celebrated studio behind the Black Ops series.

In addition to the new movement mechanics and maps, players will be able to build their loadouts with a wide range of new weapons, equipment, and perks. The beta will also feature both classic and new game modes, allowing players to squad up with friends and put their skills to the test.

As an added bonus, participants in the beta will have the chance to earn exclusive rewards that will carry over to the full game when it launches on October 25, 2024. Players who pre-order the Vault Edition will also gain access to the Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack, featuring four unique operators, and the Mastercraft Weapon Collection, boasting five unique weapons.
Black Ops 6 Open Beta: Important Dates & Times
The first beta weekend, dubbed “Early Access,” is scheduled to begin on Friday, August 30 at 10 AM PT and will run until Wednesday, September 4 at 10 AM PT. This weekend is available to players who have pre-ordered the game across all platforms (consoles and PC), as well as Game Pass subscribers.
The second beta weekend, known as the “Open Beta,” is open to all players on all platforms and is set to kick off on Friday, September 6 at 10 AM PT, concluding on Monday, September 9 at 10 AM PT.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available for pre-order now on Xbox (Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One), PlayStation (PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4), and PC via Microsoft Store, Battle.net, and Steam. It will also be the first COD title to join Game Pass on day one of its release.
