This follows the latest WSJ report, which claimed that Microsoft intends to include the next COD game in Game Pass from day one.
Credible industry insider @shinobi602 was among the first to hint that adding BO6 to the Game Pass library could lead to a price increase or changes in subscription tiers. “There will be changes, yes,” they responded to a comment speculating about a potential price hike.
Another reliable source, @eXtas1stv, who is well-known in the Call of Duty leaks and datamining community, supported this claim, stating that “changes” are definitely coming to Xbox Game Pass because of Call of Duty. While they didn’t provide further details, they promised to “report back soon.”

That said, a price hike in subscription fees, if it happens, wouldn’t be surprising or completely unprecedented either. Call of Duty games are released annually, priced at a premium of $70 for the standard edition, and yet still generate substantial revenue for Activisionāwhom Microsoft acquired for $68.7 billion late last year.
If BO6 joins Game Pass as a day-one title as rumored, it’s logical that Microsoft would want to recoup the game’s standard price. This could mean raising the current Xbox Game Pass prices or introducing a new tier specifically for Black Ops 6. However, all of this is still speculation and rumor.
